Rise of the nocturnal creatures

As the sun sets over the horizon, it left absolutely zero traces about it's whereabouts. It was not known how long it'll take for the sun to return.

Hopes were crushed and dreams were dash-ed as the I stood dumbfounded while the world turned into total darkness. Shadows crept into every single alley, swallowing everything that was in it's way.

Darkness pried on the lonely and mentally weak souls by ransacking every house they came across and fed hungrily on them. Known for their vulnerability, the weak-willed soon gave up struggling as darkness overwhelmed them. Little did i know, they were I ran until i was out of breath. As they close in on me, like the formation of the lions when they go on hunts, i was trapped in a dead end.

"Save me." i looked up into the gloomy sky and plead. There was no reply. I know my fate was sealed.
