Men are the superior species or women?
Back in the 1900s where the men made all the major decisions, women could merely stood behind their husband and do whatever they could to contribute to the family. They were given no rights and were treated with inequality. It was until 1908 where 15,000 women marched through New York and demanded for shorter hours, better pay and voting rights.
Indeed, this movement sparked off much aggression and in 8 march 1965, it was officially declared 'International Women day' by the United Nation. IWD is now an official holiday in China, Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The tradition sees men honoring their mothers, wives, girlfriends, colleagues, etc with flowers and small gifts. In some countries IWD has the equivalent status of Mother's Day where children give small presents to their mothers and grandmothers.
As we venture into the 21st century, women and male are now sharing the same level of status in terms of political and social. Women had certainly proved themselves to be capable as they are able to juggle both their family and job. Sex discrimination were rarely seen as people are judge based solely on their merits and not by their sexes. There are also a few dominant roles played by the Women in the past and are recorded and recognized for their contribution to the society. Women who held high and important ranks within a company or organization are given the title 'Career woman' and are looked upon by both their subordinates and bosses.
Despite all these changes in the women species throughout the years, vulnerability is still a common sight among most women. When such symptoms arise, this is when the roles of Men comes into the picture. Men are known for their 7 vital characteristics. Physical, Functional, Sexual, Emotional, Intellectual, interpersonal and others, ranging from pride, honour, ambitious, competitive and a sense of adventure. I am not saying that all of the above points mentioned constitutes to a man, only that a man is made up of such virtues.
In today's post, we shall focus more on Emotions;
Men must manage without regard to the emotional effect that issues have on him. The ability to suppress personal feelings enables men to maintain an objective view of the circumstance and carry on. A man is then able to make rational decisions whether in a situation as small as an interpersonal debate or as catastrophic as a bloody battlefield. That said, it is necessary and healthy for men to have someone that they can confide in. Be it a mentor, a brother, a friend.
The man is the pillar of the family. He supports the family economically and demonstrates a living example for his children. When faced with crisis, he will not falter but instead he provides support and assures that everything is going to be alright. It's impossible to exclude the possibility of adding in some white lies along the way to cover the loopholes. Quoted from a friend that ' a husband isn't just for show' had nonetheless, show how much security and assurance her father had given to the family.
To end off this long-winding post, i would hereby conclude that it certainly takes two hands to clap. Relying too much on either sexes wouldn't achieve an feasible outcome. That should also be the reason as to why Martians and Venusians exists.
